Urea is a component of urine. However, Urea found in cosmetics is synthetically made in a lab.
What it does
Urea has water-binding properties that keep skin soft and hydrated.
In addition, urea has exfoliating properties.
When used in large quantities, Urea can be irritating and cause inflammation.
