What are the best Neogen Dermalogy skincare products? This is one of my fave Korean skincare brands. Ok, it uses a bit too much fragrance for my taste, but I can get past that. You know why? Most Korean skincare products focus on hydration only. Neogen has that nailed down, too, of course. But it also has what it takes to prevent wrinkles, soothe irritations and fade away dark spots. It’s skincare that works. So what should you try first? Here are the best Neogean Dermalogy skincare products, in my humble opinion:
Neogen Real Ferment Micro Serum ($38.00)
Got sensitive, easily irritated skin that gets triggered by everything? You need Neogen Real Ferment Micro Serum in your life (and I don’t use the word “need” lightly). It’s packed to the brim with every anti-inflammatory ingredient you can think of, including probiotics, centella asiatica and green tea. They help soothe redness and irritations and keep skin calm and happy. Plus, it has a huge dollop of niacinamide, a mutlitasking vitamin that does everything: it hydrates skin, strengthens its protective barrier, soothes redness, reduces the appearance of fine lines, fades away dark spots and even helps treat acne! The best part? It’s one of the few Neogen products without fragrance. P.S. The matching essence has a very similar formula but without niacinamide. If that’s what you’re using, do your skin a favour and upgrade to the serum.
Available at: Soko Glam
Active ingredients: Probiotics.
Benefits: Hydrates skin and soothes irritations.
Cons: Not Antiaging.
Skin types: All skin types.
Fragrance-free: Yes.

Neogen Real Cica Pads ($20.00)
Want to try chemical exfoliations but find common acids like glycolic too harsh for your skin? Try Neogen Real Cica Pads. It uses gluconolactonic and lactobionic acid, two gentle exfoliants that remove dead cells without irritating your skin. To make it even gentler, Neogen added hyaluronic acid to hydrate skin, ceramides to strengthen its protective barrier and centella asiatica to soothe. I could do without the fragrance, but it’s still well worth a try.
Available at: Beauty Bay, Soko Glam, Stylevana, and Yes Style
Active ingredients: Lactobionic Acid, Gluconolactone, and niacinamide.
Benefits: Removes dead skin cells, brightens the complexion, and soothes irritations.
Cons: Contains bergamot oil, which can irritate sensitive skin.
Skin type: Normal skin, dry skin, and sensitive skin.
Fragrance-free: Technically yes. But it contains bergamot oil that makes it smell good – and may irritate sensitive skin.

Neogen Dermalogy Real Niacinamide 15% Serum ($38.00)
This NEOGEN serum packs 15% niacinamide which is a lot compared to the typical 5% you see everywhere, plus it’s got ferulic acid for antioxidants, arbutin and alpha-bisabolol for brightening, zinc PCA for acne and oil control, and ceramides plus hyaluronic acid for hydration. The texture is lightweight, absorbs well, doesn’t clog pores, and you apply it after toning then follow with moisturizer – results take consistent use over weeks or months especially for pigmentation so don’t expect overnight miracles and some find effects plateau after a while. Works best for oily acne-prone skin dealing with hyperpigmentation and uneven texture. Most people probably don’t need 15% when lower concentrations would do the job with way less risk of irritation, but if you want the extra help with skin brightening, this is worth incorporating into your skincare routine.
Available at: Soko Glam, SpaceNK and Ulta
Active ingredients: Niacinamide, bisabolol, and ferulic acid.
Benefits: Hydrates skin, brightens the complexion, and soothes irritations.
Cons: Takes a long time to brighten dark spots.
Skin type: All skin types.
Fragrance-free: Yes.
Neogen Dermalogy Real Retinol Serum ($38.00)
This NEOGEN retinol serum has 0.01% pure retinol and 2.36% retinyl palmitate which is actually way lower concentration than what you’d expect from the “2% retinol” marketing – retinyl palmitate is one of the weakest forms of retinoids because it has to go through multiple conversions before it becomes active retinoic acid. That low concentration makes this a good pick if you’re totally new to retinoids and want something that won’t wreck your face while you figure out if your skin can handle it. The texture is this milky essence formula that absorbs smoothly. You’re supposed to use it at night only, can’t mix it with vitamin C or exfoliants, and must wear SPF during the day because retinoids increase sun sensitivity.
Available at: Soko Glam
Active ingredients: Retinol and retinyl palmitate.
Benefits: Helps prevent and treat wrinkles, smoothen skin’s texture.
Cons: Suitable only for retinol beginners. If you’re already using higher concentrations, this won’t work as well for you.
Skin type: All skin types bar sensitive.
Fragrance-free: Yes.
NEOGEN Dermalogy Real Vitamin C Serum ($38.00)
This NEOGEN vitamin C serum uses 22% sodium ascorbyl phosphate which is a stable water-soluble derivative of vitamin C that’s specifically better for oily and acne-prone skin compared to pure ascorbic acid – sodium ascorbyl phosphate has antimicrobial properties that fight acne-causing bacteria and helps regulate sebum production, plus it’s way less irritating than L-ascorbic acid so it won’t trigger breakouts the way pure vitamin C sometimes does for oily skin.
The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly without being sticky, comes in dark glass packaging to protect the vitamin C from light degradation, and you apply 2-3 drops after cleansing and toning with SPF if using it in the morning. Results show brightening effects and help fade post-acne marks and hyperpigmentation with consistent use over weeks, though it’s gentler and probably less powerful for anti-aging compared to pure ascorbic acid. The scent is citrusy and some find it unusual but not unpleasant. This is a solid pick if you’ve got oily or acne-prone skin that can’t tolerate traditional vitamin C serums without breaking out.
Available at: Soko Glam, SpaceNK, Stylevana, and Yes Style
Active ingredients: Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate.
Benefits: Helps brighten skin and treat acne.
Cons: Not as effective as L-Ascorbic Acid for anti-aging.
Skin type: All skin types can use it, but it’s most suitable for oily and acne-prone skin.
Fragrance-free: Yes.
Neogen Dermalogy Real Hyal Panthenol Serum ($38.00)
This NEOGEN serum is basically a hydration bomb with 5% panthenol (vitamin B5) and 8 different types of hyaluronic acid to drench your skin in moisture and strengthen the barrier. The formula also packs 10 vitamins including B3 (niacinamide), vitamin C as sodium ascorbyl phosphate, vitamin E, biotin, folic acid, and a bunch of other B vitamins for that healthy glow effect. The texture is lightweight and absorbs fast without feeling sticky or heavy, leaves skin plump and soft, and it’s designed to penetrate deep into the epidermis to moisturize not just the surface but the layers underneath. You apply it after toner and before moisturizer, press it in gently and let it absorb. This is solid for dehydrated skin, sensitive skin that needs barrier repair, or anyone looking for serious all-day hydration without the weight of a heavy moisturizer, and it layers well with other products.
Available at: Soko Glam and Stylevana
Active ingredients: Panthenol and 8 types of hyaluronic acid.
Benefits: Super hydrating, makes skin softer and suppler.
Cons: Doesn’t have anti-aging properties.
Skin type: All skin types.
Fragrance-free: Yes.
The Bottom Line
NEOGEN knows what they’re doing when it comes to actives – they’re not trying to reinvent the wheel, they’re just making formulas that actually work without a ton of bullshit. Whether you need help with pigmentation, can’t tolerate harsh ingredients, want hydration that lasts all day, or need something gentle enough for sensitive skin, they’ve got you covered at a price point that won’t make you wince. The formulations are clean, the concentrations make sense for what they’re trying to do, and you’re getting quality K-beauty without having to mortgage your house. Pick based on what your skin actually needs right now and you’ll get results – simple as that.
