Worst Skincare Products Of 2017

worst skincare products 2017

I don’t like doing it.

Give a negative review. I want all skincare products to be awesome. But that’s not how it works. Some of them are gonna let you down.

So here goes, the sad list of the worst skincare products I’ve tried this year:

AFTERSPA CLEANSING PUFFS

These Afterspa Cleansing Puffs look so cute! And pink! But they’re SO harsh on the skin. By the third day, it felt like I was scrubbing my face with sandpaper. I thought maybe it didn’t agree with my skin now that’s on the dry side. But I gave it to a friend with oily skin and she found it even harsher than I did!

OH K! CHERRY GEL LIP MASK

I love Oh K! This Korean brand has some of the cutest and weirdest masks around. The one for hands is a firm fave. Even when my hands are super dry, that makes them soft and smooth again. But the Cherry Gel Lip Mask? I felt like I had a piece of gelatine on my lips that keep falling down. It did nothing for my skin. Nothing. 🙁

MASQUE BAR LUMIZING CHARCOAL PEEL OFF MASK

I’m picking Masque Bar Lunimizing Charcoal Peel Off Mask because it’s the first peel off mask I’ve tried but I’m in no way discriminating here. All peel off masks are the devil and there’s no way I will ever let another one near my skin ever again. Yes, that’s how traumatised I was. It doesn’t matter how many awesome goodies a peel off mask has, peeling it off your face hurts. A lot. You’re ripping some of your skin off and that’s not a good thing. Please, please, please, stay away!

That was a short list! Luckily, most skincare products out there are awesome. 😉

No, you aren’t ripping off your skin with a peel-off mask. You’re ripping off all that fine baby hair you don’t see or even know is there…UNTIL you use a strong peel-off mask! I had this experience with Boscia’s black mask. Just..O.M.G….I was in tears from the pain! I threw that fugger OUT!

Katy, it does feel like your face is coming off though, doesn’t it? I don’t know who thoughts these masks were a good idea… No more!
