Vichy Slow Age Yeux review

Vichy Slow Age Yeux promises to harness the power of bacteria to slow down premature aging.

Plus, it makes all the usual promises eye creams do. Bye bye puffy eyes. No more dark circles. Smaller crow’s feet.

Does it deliver? Let’s find out:

What’s In Vichy Slow Age Yeux?

Probiotics are all the rage now. This moisturiser has its own share of good bacteria, too. Bifida Ferment Lysate, to be exact. It’s a multitasker that:

You’ve guessed it, it’s especially beneficial for sensitive and easily irritated skin.

Dimethicone is a heavy silicone. No, it doesn’t suffocate skin or clog pores.

What it does is make wrinkles look smaller. Dimethicone fills every nook and cranny in your skin, a trick that blurs out pores and makes fine lines look less obvious – for a while. As soon as you wash it off, they’re still there.

While it’s at it, Dimethicone also gives slip to a product and makes the texture silky smooth.

Your skin needs retinol. Period. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t need anything else. Like all antioxidants, retinol works best when in the company of other antioxidants.

This eye cream has its fair share. Vitamin C. Caffeine. Vitamin E. They all fight the free radicals that cause those annoying premature wrinkles and dark spots. Loading up on this stuff is key to keeping them away from your face.

Super lightweight texture that sinks immediately into the skin.

It’s fragrance-free.

How To Use It

Performance & Personal Opinion

No, you don’t need an eye cream. But I know a lot of you like to use one anyway, so I may just as well tell you all about it.

Vichy Slow Age Yeux has a lightweight texture that sinks in immediately. It won’t just sit on your skin and give you milia (phew!)

I can’t say the caffeine in it did anything for my dark circles and puffy eyes (boo!) but its moisturizing base does help to minimize my crow’s feet and keep the delicate skin of the undereye area soft, smoother and plumper.

That’s all eye creams can do, really.

Who Is This NOT For?

Most people don’t need an eye cream. If your face moisturiser does the job, stick to that.

A white and green tube. Sleek and practical.

Does Vichy Slow Age Yeux Live Up To Its Claims?

Helps to prevent and correct the noticeable damage caused by environmental exposure. It can prevent it, but not correct it.
Helps to reduce the appearance of puffiness, dark circles and fine lines. It makes fine lines look smaller, but it does nothing for dark circles or puffy eyes.
Immediately, the eye area feels hydrated and looks rested. True.
Hypoallergenic and tested on sensitive skin. Notice how they DON’T tell you the results of these tests. Just because the cream was tested, it doesn’t mean the results were positive.
