Sunday Survey, Vol.3

1. What was/is your favourite subject at school?
History. I don’t like learning about battles and wars, which is what teachers seem to focus the most about. What I found fascinating is to learn how ancient people used to live, how life was in the past and how times changed and things evolved into the world we know today.

2. What was the first blush you ever bought?
I don’t remember the name, it was too long ago lol. But it was definitely a pink blush from L’Oreal. It was very pigmented and when I tried it on I looked like a clown. I was so traumatized I didn’t wear blush for years after that lol.

3. What type of shoes are you wearing at the moment?
I’m spending the day relaxing at home so I’m wearing a comfy pair of pink slippers. ๐Ÿ™‚

4. Flats or heels?
I love heels, they’re so pretty, feminine and sexy! Unfortunately, they’re also uncomfortable and walking in them can be very painful, so I only wear them on special occasions. For everyday, I prefer flats. They may not be as pretty, but are so comfy and I know my feet thank me for wearing them lol.

5. What do you think of musicals?
I LOVE musicals, of all kinds! There’s singing, dancing, acting, they have it all. I think they’re very entertaining and fun!

1) English and languages.

2) I can’t remember. I only started wearing blush recently, and I used products which had been given to me or which were in palettes. In fact, I think I even started out using eyeshadow as blush!

3) I don’t have anything on my feet right now ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m having a lazy day too but I don’t wear slippers.

4) I completely agree with your answer!

5) It depends on my mood and what kind of musical. I like the more ‘serious’ ones like Les Miserables. I rarely feel in the mood for things like Grease =P

1) French and Chemistry-both in large part due to amazing teachers

2) I always used the blushes in large palettes I had been given. I think the first one I actually bought myself was Elf Shimmering Facial Whip just last year.

3) Also a lazy day, so my house shoes, ugly but comfortable pink fake crocs.

4) I love heels. But I have to wear flats for work and I ride my bike, so I don’t wear them as much as I would like.

5) I absolutely love musicals. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one I didn’t like. My current fave is Rocky Horror Picture Show.

1) Foreign languages! They’re so fun with the right teachers.

2) CoverGirl, though I didn’t like it much because it was too shimmery, aha.

3) Nothing, my feet hurts from wearing heels all day yesterday. It feels great walking barefoot around the house!

4) None. I would take sneakers cause I like running around(:

5) I like certain musicals, but sometimes they bug me, lol.

Simone, Grease holds a special place in my heart as that was the first musical I saw but I understand not everyone likes that kind of musicals. Personally, I like all of them, serious, comic, light-hearted ones.. it depends on my mood. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love using eyeshadows as blush esp when they’re not very pigmented. Aren’t multi-tasking products great?

Michelle, you were so lucky you had an amazing chemistry teachers. Mine was so boring he actually made me hate this subject and I know regret not paying more attention in class. Although every time I tried, he made me feel sleepy (never happened with other teachers). Yep, he was THAT boring.

I love the Rocky Horror Picture Show too, it’s one of my favourites. ๐Ÿ™‚

Dee, I loved foreign languages too, esp English. I had an amazing English teacher in high school that made me love this language even more than I already did. Her lessons were always so much fun!

Ouch! I hope your feet feel better soon and I love walking barefoot around the house too. ๐Ÿ™‚

3)barefoot at home

1. What was/is your favourite subject at school?
I really liked Sociology of Sex and Gender.

2. What was the first blush you ever bought?
I can’t even remember, it was so long ago!

3. What type of shoes are you wearing at the moment?
None. I don’t wear shoes in the house. It’s an Asian thing, haha!

4. Flats or heels?
Flats, hands down, no competition. High heels may make us look taller and leaner, but they hurt like a mother!

5. What do you think of musicals?
I love them! Chicago is my fave.

Citrine, one dollar? What a great deal! L’Oreal has never been so cheap here and now it’s almost as expensive as MAC here.

And I agree that musicals need a good plot. Of course I still like listening to the songs but the storyline needs to be good too or what’s the point?

Tammy, I agree with you about heels. I love them but barely use them because I don’t see the point in looking taller and pretty if I have to feel pain to achieve it. It’s just not worth it. Every now and then, they’re ok though.

I love Chicago. I saw that in the West End in London and it was amazing!

1) Biology and Chemistry; Medical Physics (in pre-uni);

2) I really couldn’t recall…. I hardly bought any makeup when I was younger, most are courtesy from my mom and aunt. ๐Ÿ˜‰

3) Since it’s Monday now…..been wearing my Olivia Crocs all day. Now shoeless at home! ๐Ÿ˜€

4) I like heels, of course, especially for someone who is just 5′ 2” like me. But for practicality, I wear flats, what more I have to constantly chasing my little girl around and carrying her, wearing heels would pose some risk of tripping and fall.

5) I LOVE musicals! Just got my tickets to watch West Side Story. Yes, they are coming to Malaysia!

Vonvon, flats are definitely the way to go if you have young kids or are pregnant. If you wear heels you just risk hurting yourself or your child and flats are just more comfortable and practicle anyway.

I love West Side Story. It’s great that it’s coming to Malaysia, enjoy it!

I love history and musicals, too! The Phantom of the Opera is wicked. But my fave subject in school was art, to be honest. What a surprise, huh? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mylanqolia, it’s nice to know we have the same interests. And that doesn’t surprise me, you’re very creative and artistic person. I love art but I didn’t pay much attention in school and I regret that. I blame it on teachers that were either boring and uninspiring, but I’m trying to make up for lost time by learning things on my own. ๐Ÿ™‚
