Sunday Random Ramblings, Vol.3

by Gio

Hello ladies,

it’s already Sunday again and that means another post of random ramblings! Let’s get started:

My New Slippers

Last weekend, I was talking to my mum and mentioned that I needed to buy a new pair of slippers because the one I had was quite old and not in very good condition anymore. Then, a couple of days later, while my mum was out shopping (she needed to buy a few things for the house), she came across these cute pink slippers and knowing how obsessed I am with everything pink, she decided to buy them for me. Wasn’t that lovely of her? I really love my new slippers, they are so cute and girly. The little hearts and ribbons are very pretty and did I mention that they’re PINK (I told you I was obsessed with it, lol)? What do your sleepers look like?

What I’m Reading Now

Poirot Investigates by Agatha Christie. I’m not a big fan of detectives stories but I love to read a good Agatha Christie novel every now and then. They are beautifully and intelligently written, the characters are usually well-developed and the plots well-orchestrated and full of twists and suspense. At the moment, I’m reading Poirot Investigates, a collection of 11 short stories in which the eccentric detective Hercule Poirot solves all kinds of crimes, from kidnappings, to robberies to murders. Because each story is only 10-15 pages long, there are very few suspects and although very few clues are given, it is often easy to guess who committed the crime. Still, I find the stories highly enjoyable, especially for fans of Hercule Poirot.

Sunday Survey, Vol.84

1. What’s your favourite Christmas song?
White Christmas.

2. Do you mix foundations to make them match?
If I purchase the wrong shade by mistake, then yes. But I would never buy two or more foundations to mix them cos I would just rather keep looking until a find one that matches my skintone perfectly.

3. What browser are you using?
Firefox.

4. Kitten heels or stilettos?
Stilettos are prettier but I usually wear kitten heels as they are more comfortable.

5. How do you feel about compilation cds?
I’m not a big fan of them as there are always a few songs on them I don’t like that much. I prefer to make my own.

1. What’s your favourite Christmas song? I think the theme song to “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.”

2. Do you mix foundations to make them match? Nope. I never thought of that.

3. What browser are you using? Firefox! I’m pretty loyal to it.

4. Kitten heels or stilettos? Kitten heels. Even after all these years, I still can’t get used to walking in really high or thin heels.

5. How do you feel about compilation cds? I’m with you on some songs being a dud. I like to make my own, though, and listen to them in the car.

Thanks for the mention, Gio!

Trisha, I can’t walk on really high heels either! And I’m always worried I’d sprain an ankle or something. Short heels are definitely better.

You’re welcome. 🙂

love the pink slippers!!! i used to wear home slippers back then when i was staying with some housemates cause i was always the only one who had to clean the house and eventually i got lazy 😛 so slippers were protecting my feet from the dirt. but now house is always clean and i dont wear slippers anymore ^_^

Xin, they’re really cute, aren’t they? That was so unfair you were the only one who cleaned the house! I sometimes don’t wear slippers when it’s hot, but when the floor’s dirty, they are very needed! 🙂

1. What’s your favourite Christmas song?
“Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer”

2. Do you mix foundations to make them match?
No, I have one that matches really well.

3. What browser are you using?
I’ve been using Firefox but I’m thinking of trying Chrome.

4. Kitten heels or stilettos?
Stilettos! I feel better and look better in them, so it’s worth the discomfort.

5. How do you feel about compilation cds?
I like them, because they tell me a lot about who gave them to me.

Ashley, that’s a good point re compilation cds. They are an interesting present indeed.

I tried Chrome a few days ago and didn’t like it much. I tried the Linux version so the Windows one may be different, but I’ve found it a bit confusing so I’ve switched back to Firefox..

Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer. It’s so jaunty!

Nope, but I usually wear more sheer coverage foundations (if at all) so the shade can be off by a little bit and still look ok on me.

Definitely stilettos!
5. How do you feel about compilation cds?
