spectrum c05 brush 01

OMG, how did I miss this?!

Look at this beauty. It’s pink. It’s bold. It’s fluffy. It’s got my name all over it. And, yet, somehow it ended up forgotten for months at the bottom of my stash cabinet. 🙁

I guess that’s a #beautybloggerproblems: even gems get lost in a sea of skincare products. *sighs*

FYI, this gem is Spectrum C05 Brush, a brush made my unicorns to make it easy for us humans to create a flawless contoured effect.

(Ok, not really. It was created by sisters Sophie and Hannah Pycroft but hey, doesn’t it look like something a fairytale princess would use?).

You can use Spectrum C05 Brush in two ways. You can apply cream contour shades to the sockets of your eyes as a transition shade and then blend it out with a blending brush.

Or you can use it to apply concealer or highlighter under your eyes, centre of your forehead, nose, Cupid’s bow and chin. That’s why I do all the time.

I find the brush is a little too big and large for my small eyes. It doesn’t place the colour there as precisely as I’d like so I need to blend a little more to get a gradient effect.

But it’s just the perfect size for all those little spots that need a little brightening and highlighting. A big, fluffy brush wouldn’t be as precise there.

Spectrum C05 Brush has dense but soft synthetic bristles that pick up a good amount of colour and don’t scratch skin. I’ve been using it for a while now and – so far – I haven’t experienced any shedding.

Now, excuse me. I need to go get the rest of the set…
