The Natural Skincare Range That’s Fit For A Queen

If fragrance in skincare is bad, I want to be a sinner.

Like, I don’t care if fragrance is irritating anymore. This stuff smells so good, I just want to bathe in it. If it were a perfume, I would (by the way, how is this NOT a perfume yet?!).

Seriously, ladies, Sanoflore Reines range is the best thing I’ve ever smelled in my life. Especially the oil. OMG the oil. It’s heaven in a bottle.

Nuit Des Reines Botanical Oil Infusion

Citrus fruits layered on a bed of honey. Heaven in a bottle.

Like, I really don’t care if this stuff does anything at this point. I’ll use it anyway cos that smell takes me to heaven every time.

Luckily for my skin (and wallet), Nuit Des Reines does something. It’s full of moisturising oils that do double duty: they make skin soft and smooth and fight the free radicals that cause wrinkles.

Top of the list is olive oil. It’s loaded with fatty acids that turn even the driest of skin into a soft and smooth complexion. And it has resveratrol and vitamins A, C & E to keep those wrinkles away.

Then, there’s jojoba oil. Out of all the natural oils, it’s the one that resembles human sebum the most. That’s good for oily skin, too. It’ll trick your skin into thinking it has pumped out too much oil already.

I put the oil on after my retinol serum at night. That’s when it needs more moisture so retinol won’t dry it out. Its lightweight texture goes on so smoothly and makes my skin so soft. It gives it a lovely glow, too.

Did I mention it smells heavenly?

Elixir De Reines Skin Perfecting Concentrate Serum

The Elixir De Reines smells as heavenly as the oil, only subtler. Love.

The texture is more like a gel than a serum. It’s super lightweight and sinks in immediately without leaving any residue behind.

FYI, it’s so lightweight because it has a huge dollop of alcohol. It’s not necessarily a bad thing. New studies have shown that alcohol isn’t as drying or irritating as we thought in the past.

Plus, there’s a lot of aloe vera juice here that can soothe irritations (just in case you have one). Plus, adenosine, a yeast-derived ingredient that smoothens out wrinkles and makes you look younger.

I put it on after my vitamin C serum in the morning. It makes my skin softer, smoother and brighter. If you’re still young and have just started noticing your first fine lines, this can help. For deeper lines, you need something with retinol.

Or you can just get this anyway cos it smells heavenly. Ok, I’ll stop now…

Your excitement with the perfume is VERY palpable Gio haha! ;D
The products do seem to have a charm! I was curious to read that jojoba oil mimics the human sebum the most… could swear that I’ve read that was camelia that took that place!

Mariana, lol! I know fragrance isn’t the best thing to add in skincare but gosh, this one is heavenly. 🙂

Where did you read that? I know camellia oil has gotten a lot of press recently so maybe someone was over exaggerating a bit? As far as I know, jojoba and squalane are the most similar to human sebum. 🙂
