pupa lasting color afro terracotta 01

Name: Lasting Color in Afro Terracotta
Brand: Pupa
Size: 5ml
Price: €6,00

From Pupa’s website:
A nail polish with an ultra glossy effect and very intense color, easy to apply, in just one stroke. Dries quickly and has a great hold.

What I liked:
– beautiful summery shade with a glossy finish
– great colour payoff
– thin texture doesn’t streak
– dries quickly
– decent staying power
– adorable packaging
– the price

What I didn’t like:
– if you’re hard on your nails, it’ll last only three days

Originally launched in 2012 as part of Pupa’s summer collection Afro Chic, Afro Terracotta is a beautiful brick shade with orange undertones and a glossy finish. I’m actually surprised by how much I love this colour. I usually prefer bright neons, delicate pastels, or vampy dark hues, while Afro Terracotta is more on the neutral side. But it still packs a punch.

Very chic, Afro Terracotta is also easy to apply. One coat is all you need for an opaque colour payoff and it dries in less than ten minutes! Don’t you wish all nail polishes did that too? The consistency is on the thinner side, and glides smoothly on the nails, without creating streaks or bubbles.

How long does it last? On my nails, it started to chip after 3 days, which is not bad at all, considering how hard I am on them. Besides, I soon get kinda bored of wearing the same shade for a few days in a row, so I’d probably remove it after that anyway. But if you want it to last longer, instead, just apply a protective top coat on top. That should give you a couple more days of wear.

Available at: drugstores

Pupa Lasting Color in Afro Terracotta is a chic summer shade with a glossy finish. It applies like a dream, is opaque in one coat and dries quickly. On me, it chips after 3 days, but you can make it last longer with the help of a top coat.

Pretty color! And I like that it’s only one coat. Nice!

Trisha, that’s my fave thing about it. I hate applying more than one coat. It just takes too much time and I’m not patient at all.

Do you’ve any sources of where to get it online from?

Gio August 12, 2014 - 7:35 pm

Gauri, unfortunately most of the websites that stock it only ship within Italy. This store instead ships worldwide, but P&P are very high

So pretty! I love berries for the fall. I am already thinking of the Ho-Ho-Holidays! Sigh.
I am definitely hard on my nails. I don’t expect nail polish to last more than a day since I pick things like sticker labels off fruit or prying open jars. Not that I do those daily, just examples :P.

Berries and red shades including brick colors.

Janessa, I don’t think it’ll be long till we see holiday collections now. I look forward to all the gift sets. 🙂

Shades like this are perfect for all I agree. Do you use a top coat? Even if you’re hard on your nails, that should help make your nail polish last even just a day or two more.

I’m ecstatic for the gift sets! I haven’t purchased much lately because I’m saving up for them.
I rarely use a top coat even though I have several. I should be more consistent. :]

I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us. I bet we’ll have a hard time choosing which ones to get. 🙂
