From Estee Lauder’s website:
High performance wear. Feels light and luscious, never sticky. Drenched with conditioners. Smooths on precisely, stays on perfectly.
In a wide range of wearable shades with lasting shine for a lasting impression. You’ll want them all.
Each shade comes in the luminous, multi-dimensional finish that suits it best: Shine, Shimmer or Sparkle.
What I liked:
– beautiful my lips but better shade
– subtle shimmer makes your lips glow naturally
– comfortable, non-sticky texture
– delicious sweet scent
What I didn’t like:
– average staying power
Are you tired of hearing me rave about Estee Lauder Pure Color Glosses? I hope not because I have one more shade to show you.
It’s called Rock Candy and it’s absolutely perfect for daytime, all year round. Rock Candy is a my-lips-but-better shade. A shimmering soft pink, it imparts just a touch of colour and shine to make your lips naturally glow.
Rock Candy goes with everything. You can use it to tone down a dark smokey look. To play down the lips while you’re rocking yellow or blue eyeshadow. Or to create natural, girl-next door looks. You just can’t go wrong with it.
That’s why this is one of the few lipglosses I brought with me to London. It’s understated but classic and versatile and has a comfortable, non-sticky texture that makes it a pleasure to wear. I use it so much that I think, for the first time in my life, I may actually finish a lipgloss.
The gloss comes with a standard doe-foot applicator, which makes it easy to apply. Application is made even more enjoyable by the sweet, fig-like scent of the gloss. It’s divine! I don’t think I’ll ever tire of it.
But, of course, fragrances are very subjective, so I guess that if you don’t like your glosses scented, this could be a problem for you. But in that case, you may be happy to know the scent is not that strong and disappears quickly.
The real downside, for me, is the staying power. Like most non-sticky glosses, Rock Candy doesn’t stay on the lips for long. Only a couple of hours. Then, it’s time to apply it again.
Summary
Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss in Rock Candy is a my-lips-but-better shade. Infused with a sweet fig scent, it has a comfortable non-stick texture that, however, lasts only a couple of hours on the lips.
