QOTW: What Brands Dominate In Your Beauty Stash?

by Gio

pigment vs pressed eyeshadow

What brands dominate in your beauty stash?

My answer: in the eyeshadow department, definitely Sleek Makeup. I have so many of their palettes (and still crave more)! As for the rest, it’s a good mix of drugstore, high-end and indie brands. I like to try new products and brands all the time, so there’s not really one that dominates over the others.

For treatment, Paula’s Choice. The best at a good price. For makeup, some MAC stuff and drugstore brands.

Gio February 6, 2014 - 6:55 pm

Leire, I love Paula’s Choice products too. They are well-formulated and reasonably priced. 🙂

Hmm, I’d say Revlon especially their color stay line.

I’d love to try Sleek .. one day I’ll place an order.

Monica, Revlon have really stepped up their game lately, haven’t they? A lot of their new offerings are very good.

Trisha February 6, 2014 - 6:12 pm

I have a good mix of brands, but I also have a loooot of Pixi stuff. Their green packaging can be spotted all over my collection.

Gio February 6, 2014 - 7:21 pm

Trisha, their packaging is adorable! I haven’t tried anything yet, though, cos it’s not available here. 🙁

Ana February 6, 2014 - 9:28 pm

Gabrini, because of the nail polishes.

Gio February 7, 2014 - 8:40 am

Ana, lol. They do have A LOT of gorgeous nail polishes, don’t they? 🙂

I have a ton of NARS and Urban Decay, they kind of take over. But I have bits of many other brands, just not as many bits as I have of NARS and Urban Decay, lol.

Gio February 7, 2014 - 12:06 pm

Natalie, those are great brands! I love their eyeshadows, and UD eyeliners are amazing too. 🙂

Jenn February 7, 2014 - 2:28 am

MAC! 😛 But I’ve been a good girl for the past year or so… I haven’t been buying anything really! 😀

Gio February 7, 2014 - 12:07 pm

Jenn, wow! I could never do anything like that. Well done!

Tine February 7, 2014 - 3:10 am

Oh my, that’s a difficult question. I have, er, a lot of stuff. A big mix of brands. For lipsticks, it’ll be Revlon and Loreal cos they have some amazing lippies. I used to have a lot of NARS blushes until I sold them at blog sales.

Gio February 7, 2014 - 12:09 pm

Tine, Revlon make some amazing lip products, don’t they? My first lippie was from L’Oreal but I haven’t tried anything by them in ages. Time to fix that, me thinks. 🙂

Marina(Makeup4all) February 7, 2014 - 10:38 am

Great question, made me curious. I don’t even know, I have a lot of Illamasqua and Rouge Bunny Rouge though.

Gio February 7, 2014 - 7:14 pm

Marina, I love Illamasqua! Their collections are so creative and their products work really well.

Viv February 7, 2014 - 12:23 pm

I also have a lot of Sleek, but probably Bobbi Brown comes out as the winner on this one. I like them right across the board – lips, face, eyes, nails… Though I’ve been good lately, and haven’t bought very much since October 🙂

Gio February 7, 2014 - 7:15 pm

Viv, yay another fan of Sleek! And well-done for not buying much. 🙂

Icaria February 8, 2014 - 1:59 pm

This past year I’ve been renewing my makeup so I don’t have that much atm but what I reach for most for eye makeup are Chanel and a NARS palette. I would love for Sleek (among other brands) to be available here.

Gio February 9, 2014 - 9:10 pm

Icaria, Chanel and Nars are great brands. I hope Sleek will come to Canada soon. I think their website ships worldwide too, although I’m not sure how much p&p is.

Annabella February 14, 2014 - 2:27 am

KIKO has replaced my collection of Clinique. Can’t get enough of KIKO ;D

Gio February 14, 2014 - 4:50 pm

Annabella, Kiko is very addictive, isn’t it? It could have easily dominated my collection too if only shopping at my local store wasn’t such an unpleasant experience. Really can’t stand their pushy SAs.
