QOTW: How Long Does Your Morning Skincare Routine Take?

How long does your morning skincare routine take?

My answer: less than 10 minutes. I cleanse my face with Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, then apply a serum chockfull of antioxidants, such as Paula’s Choice Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum. Because neither the serum nor my sunscreen are that moisturizing, I then apply Olay Total Effects Day Cream SPF 15, followed by Sunumbra Sunkids SPF 40.

Less than five minutes. I do my cleansing at night, so the morning skincare routine is mostly just about putting on moisturizer.

Trisha, better keep it short in the morning, isn’t it? You want to take care of your skin, but not take ages to get ready for the day ahead. 🙂

Fairly quick .. face and makeup, it’s my hair that takes 30 min (it’s such a pain to dry).

Monica, I hate drying hair too. It takes so much time! I tend to wash it when I can let it air dry, but it’s not always possible.

LOL Gio, morning skin care is micellar water and CC cream, done! Makeup is about 10 min. 🙂

Gio January 24, 2014 - 9:39 pm

Icaria, you’re quick! It takes me a lot longer than 10 minutes to do my makeup! lol 🙂

I have no straight answer. I break up the parts of my morning skincare routine and do other morning stuff in-between.
For example I wash and tone, then I put coffee in the coffee maker. Then I moisturize and open the blinds in all the rooms etc.
If I do it all in one go I make very hasty moves while this is more relaxed and a better transition from bed to out-of-the-door.

Marianthi, I do that when I have to get ready for a night out. I wish I had time for it in the morning too. It’s more relaxing indeed. 🙂

5 minutes – cleanse, moisturize.

Gio January 25, 2014 - 4:53 pm

Ana, simple, quick and effective. I like it. 🙂

Wow, everyone is so quick! I guess mine is around 15 minutes? I think my biggest challenge in the morning is whether or not I can get up immediately after my alarm goes off.

K, that’s tough indeed! It’s so cozy under the covers!
