Name: Ultra Last Eyeliner in Ultra Black and Ultra Brown
From Senna’s website:
This long lasting eyelining pencil delivers a soft and smooth application with high pigment payoff. Waterproof and smudgeproof for up to 14 hours of wear.
What I liked:
– creamy texture, glides on smoothly
– they leave you enough time to smudge them, but once set, they won’t budge
– they last long both on the lashline and on the waterline
– good colour payoff
– easy to remove with an oil-based makeup remover
– retractable, no sharpening required
What I didn’t like:
– some people may find them too pricey
When it comes to eyeliners, are you tired of choosing between creaminess and staying power? Well, with the new Senna Ultra Last Eyeliners in Ultra Black and Ultra Brown you won’t have to. These retractable pencils have a very soft and creamy consistency that glides so smoothly on the lids without tugging. They allow you a little time to smudge them if you’d like to create a nice smokey effect, but once they’re set, they’re set.
I tried them both with and without an eyeshadow primer and the results were the same. I’d apply the eyeliners on my upper lashline in the morning and, by the time I went to take them off at night, they were still there. Intact. There was no fading nor any smudges. And that was on two very hot and humid summer days, when it was 32°C in the shade! Not that the rest of the month has been any cooler, which is why these pencils have turned out to be a godsend.
Now, I can wear eyeliner without worrying about panda eyes. And when I want to take them off, I can easily do so with the help of an oil-based makeup remover. Oh, and did I mention that their staying power is impressive on the waterline as well? While they won’t last all day there, they do stay put for a few hours, which is a lot more than you get with most eyeliners. Please note, though, that while my lids are slightly oily, my eyes aren’t watery.
What about pigmentation? That’s pretty good too. One coat will leave an opaque and intense line of colour. Of course the intensity isn’t the same as that you’d get from a liquid eyeliner, but for a pencil it is great. Ultra Black is a true, dark black shade you can use for bolder or nighttime looks, while Ultra Brown is a rich brown shade that doesn’t pull red at all and is perfect for more natural, daytime looks.
I rarely get excited about eyeliners, but these are amazing. If you’re looking for an eyeliner that’s creamy and longlasting even in very hot and humid weather, give one of these a try. You won’t regret it.
Senna Ultra Last Eyeliner in Ultra Black and Ultra Brown have great colour payoff and a creamy texture that glides smoothly on the lids without tugging. They leave you enough time to smudge them, but once set they won’t budge for the whole day. They last a few hours on the waterline as well. However, some people may find them too pricey.
