layla half laylash lash extensions 2

Name: Half Laylash Lash Extensions N°2
Brand: Layla
Price: €12.76

From Layla’s website:
Half lashes for a sophisticated and natural look. Each box contains 2 pairs.

What I liked:
– soft and flexible band makes eyelashes easy to apply
– provide a sophisticated and slightly dramatic look that’s not over-the-top
– easier to apply than whole false lashes
– contains 2 pairs

What I didn’t like:
– glue doesn’t hold lashes in place for long, yet it is difficult to remove from skin
– the price

False lashes are very tricky to apply. They require a lot of practice and a lot of patience, especially at the beginning. If you’ve never used them before, you should start with a half-strip set. Because of their smaller size, they are much easier to work with.

It’s true that the sudden drama at the end of your lashes can, at times, look odd and even unnatural, but that greatly depends on the type of lashes you pick. Layla Half Laylash Lash Extensions N°2, for instance, add glamour, sophistication and a touch of drama that’s not, however, over-the-top. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take a picture, but you can see them in action here.

Longer at one end, these half lashes get smaller and smaller as they reach the opposite end. Like all Layla false eyelashes, they have a flexible and soft band that makes application easy, and are so lightweight you feel like you’re not really wearing anything.

Although these lashes are amazing, the glue that comes with them is horrible. I’m not sure how they’ve done it, but they managed to formulate a glue that barely keeps your half lashes in place for hours and yet it’s a real pain to remove from the skin. It’s just so weird, and so frustrating. Use your own glue to apply them otherwise, if you’re a newbie at false lashes, this adhesive will you make you want to stay away from them forever! Yep, it’s that bad!

Easier to apply than whole eyelashes, Layla Half Laylash Lash Extensions N°2 provide sophistication and drama that’s not, however, over-the-top. The soft and flexible band makes these lightweight half lashes easy to apply but the glue doesn’t keep them in place for long. Yet, it’s a pain to remove from skin.

Rating: false lashes 4/5, glue 1.5/5

When I saw the title, I immediately knew what the diagnosis would be for the glue. 😉 Super cute lashes, though!

Trisha, they are very pretty, aren’t they? If only they came with a good glue…

hi gio, can we see you in those lashes pls? 😀
I started with half lash too, much easier to handle, and very natural looking! however, i have weaned off the lash addiction already 😀

Xin, I wanted to take a photo of me wearing them but this awful glue made that an impossible task. I don’t have another glue at the moment, but will buy one soon so that I can show you how they look. 🙂

Oh gosh, I do not do false lashes! I did once, for Halloween and the glue I used that came with the lashes stuck onto my lashes and skin for three days until my eyelash fell off or I don’t know what! I tried everything to take it off, even with the best makeup removers and cleansers and eek! I love my lashes as they are and a good mascara can make them look false enough. So yeeeup, your comment on how the glue sucked gave me this flashback… except not so traumatic as it seems haha.

I agree that false lashes can look unnatural and odd but only if the makeup doesn’t math. Like super long lashes on someone with short lashes and not much eye definition definitely can look odd as a ‘before’ and ‘after’, but some contouring to balance out the high drama going on in the eyes can totally make them look believable!

TOO BAD about writing slopping comments. I can’t do it; simply can not. I read your posts and I already can see how much effort you put into them and the energy in them just makes me want to write away!

*makeup doesn’t match hehe

Janessa, oh dear! That’s just awful! This glue was almost as hard to remove as that you used. A good glue must make false lashes stick, but it shouldn’t be that hard to remove from skin. When it is, it can put you off false eyelashes for good!

You make a great point. Tweaking your makeup to balance out the drama of the lashes is a great idea, but I don’t think that a lot of people think of that. I mean, we usually expect them to look good straight away you know? But that’s definitely a great tip for anyone who has that problem. 🙂

Awww you’re a star hun! *hugs*
