Name: Green Tea Refreshing Body Lotion
Brand: Elizabeth Arden
Size: 6.8 fl oz
Price: $13.00

From Elizabeth Arden’s website:
Get the fragrance that energizes the body, excites the senses and awakens the spirit. Our restorative and moisturizing body lotion is infused with fragrant green tea extract, leaving skin feeling hydrated, silky and smooth.

What I liked:
– fresh and summery green tea scent
– lightweight texture that absorbs quickly
– makes skin soft and smooth

What I didn’t like:
– both the scent and its moisturizing power are short-lived

One way to make the short-lived scent of your favourite body wash last longer is to apply the matching body lotion just after your shower. That’s exactly what I do every time I shower with Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Energizing Bath & Shower Gel. The Green Tea Refreshing Body Lotion has the same fresh and summery floral green tea scent, with subtle hints of citrus to make it even more invigorating.

The beautiful scent of the lotion doesn’t, unfortunately, last very long on its own, but, when layered over the body wash, it can linger up to seven hours on the skin. But what about its moisturizing power? Does that fare better? Well, that depends on how dry your skin is. The lotion is very lightweight, sinking in quickly, but isn’t moisturizing enough for my very dry skin. Just after application, it leaves my skin soft, smooth and smelling wonderful, but a few hours later, its hydrating effect is gone, forcing me to reapply another layer.

However, I believe that Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Refreshing Body Lotion would work much better for people with oily skin, who don’t need a lot of hydration. It is also more suitable for the hot summer months than the cold winter weather that tends to dry out skin even more. If you decide to try it, I recommend you wait for a sale or purchase it in a gift set that also includes the matching fragrance and body wash to get more bang for your buck. At $13.00 a bottle, this Refreshing Body Lotion isn’t that cheap.

Summary
Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Refreshing Body Lotion has a lightweight texture that sinks in quickly into the skin, leaving skin soft and smooth for a few hours. However, it’s not moisturizing enough for those with dry skin. Its pleasant and fresh floral green tea scent doesn’t last long either.

I’ve always loved this fragrance, but took a break from it to try other things 🙂 I may have to go back to it.

Monica, even the best fragrances can tire if used too often, can’t they? But it’s always nice to revisit them after a while. This one is truly lovely and so fresh!

If I’m spending money on any moisturizer, it better be moisturizing! I do like the price for a nice scent like this but that doesn’t even last long.

My thoughts on some of the Haus of Gloi scents (I forgot to tell you about them):
Stronger scents (I use more sparingly):
Litchi Milk Tea, Depravity, Vice

Lighter scents I can apply more of: Elevenses, Haus Amber, Troika

My favorite is Litchi Milk Tea and it’s a sweeter scent but it smells so yummy. I really like the minty herbal scents like Absinthe and Insalata Nocturna.

Not even a review, just a bit of my thoughts. :]

Janessa, I agree. That’s not point in buying a moisturizer that doesn’t moisturize. The scent is lovely, but it’s a shame it doesn’t last long.

I’m glad you enjoy Hous of Gloi scents. Aren’t they amazing? Complex and delicious. Litchi Milk Tea must be the next one I try. I was undecided between that one and Honey Tree (have you tried it?) and went for the latter. My bf much prefers it to Deprivity, but I find the honey a tad too strong. The Litchi one is getting rave reviews and I’m really curious to try it.

Oh this reminds me of mine. I have still have one left, with honey-drop in it. The smell doesn’t last long and so does the perfumes. Not moisture enough. But i kinda love it. So fresh and makes me feel so alive. I personally think Victoria’s Secret lasts longer than this and also does better in moisturizing. Well, just my thoughts.

Vny, the best thing about this is the scent, isn’t it? So fresh and energizing. I haven’t tried any lotions from Victoria’s Secrets, as the brands’ not available here, but it’s good to know they work well. 🙂
