Don’t you hate it when a foundation is only available in 5 shades? Most people won’t be able to find a match. Case in point, Deborah 24 Ore Perfect Foundation. Even their lightest shade is too dark for me and turns me into a Oompa Loompa. *sighs*
If you can find a match, is it worth the splurge? It depends on what you’re looking for…
The foundation has a creamy texture that glides smoothly on the skin. Thank silicones for that. Dimethicone gives it slip and fills in fine lines ad wrinkles, so they look smaller.
Coverage’s good: it evens out mob skintone, hides small flaws like redness and helps me hide dark circles. Not too matte but not shimmery either, it looks natural on (if you can find a perfect match, that is!).
Now, for the bad part. Deborah 24 Ore Perfect Foundation so does NOT last 24 hours. Heck, it won’t even last 5. I had to touch up this baby several times during the day!
And don’t get me started on the blotting! After 2 hours, my t-zone was shining brighter than a frying pan. If you have dry skin, you get different results. But for combo/oily skin, this is more trouble than it’s worth it.
What about the SPF? It’s a nice addition, but foundations with SPF aren’t a substitute for sunscreen. You’d need to apply 1/4 of a teaspoon to get the SPF stated on the bottle. Who does that?! Try it and you’ll get cakey skin, not perfect skin.
You’ve guessed it, I won’t be repurchasing this one. Deborah has a long way to go before it can help you achieve perfection skin. Just saying…
