I Always Avoided Loose Powders. Then, I Tried This And Fell In Love

I don’t know why, but every time I open a loose powder, those tiny flecks of powder fly off everywhere. It’s like it’s snowing in my bedroom. Awkward.

Actually, I know why. I’m as clumsy as an elephant on skates.

So, I just take the easier route and stay away from them. It’s safer for everyone.

But, sometimes, one of them finds it way inside my bedroom and begs me to at least try it. And I’ve never been able to ignore a makeup product (that’s just rude).

That’s how I ended up falling in love with MustaeV Silky Cotton Loose Powder. It’s a very friendly powder. It’s translucent so everyone can use it. And it doesn’t make a mess every time I open it.

That’s not to say it’s entirely mess-free, just a lot less messy than all the other loose powders I’ve tried. MustaeV must know something other powder makers don’t (either that or I’m getting better at opening loose powders, which I highly doubt).

The powder has a silky soft texture that feels very lightweight on my skin. Another reason why I’m not fond of powders is that they can easily look cakey and make you look awful. This one doesn’t.

It has a slightly matte finish that looks very natural on the skin. It feels like I’m not wearing anything, but I am, and it’s helping my foundation and concealer staying put and looking fresh from morning till night.

But, I don’t use it all over my face. My cheeks are dry and in no need of a setting powder. My t-zone is another story entirely. I do need a helping hand to prevent it going all shiny throughout the day and this does the job very well.

It’s also very easy to apply. If I want to use a heavier hand, I’ll just grab the puff that comes with it. More often, though, I’ll just use my powder brush. I feel like I’m using less product that way, yet the results are still impressive.

I guess this is pretty much it. It’s not something that I would recommend to anyone with dry skin, but that’s because dry skin doesn’t need a translucent powder. But, apart from that, I can’t really find any faults with this.

Basically, I’m very impressed.

Hi Gio,
I didnt know about Mustaev before seeing your review! Will investigate ;-p)

Did you try Lili&Lolo translucent loose powder? It’s an UK based organic, affordable brand.

It helps setting the makeup and getting rid of excessive shine.
But above all, it confers a satiny finish that’s very natural. I personally dislike über matt skin (flat and dull!)

Path, I know LIly Lolo but I haven’t tried this powder yet. You’re making me curious, though. Thanks for the recommendation!
