What it is
Glyceryl Caprylate is derived from glycerin and caprilyc acid.

What it does
Glyceryl Caprylate is an emollient that makes skin soft and smooth.
In addition, it also acts as an emulsifier: it prevents the liquid and oily parts of a product from separating.

Side effects
Glyceryl Caprylate is generally considered to be safe.

Gio, as usual, you do things in such a smart way. I did a post a while back on beauty ingredients, a whole bunch of them, and what they do, what to look out for. I had some modest interest, but really not that much. Posting a word at a time makes much for sense. Also, where did you find your Skimlinks logo/disclosure? I haven’t been able to find it on their site or by googling it. tyvm in advance

Allison, thanks. I’m glad you like this kind of posts. Talking about cosmetic ingredients can sometimes be boring, can’t it? That’s why I chose this format, so that people can see what an ingredient is and does at a glance. And that’s great that you talked about ingredients too. I’ll go check out your post now. 🙂
