What it is
Dipropylene Glycol is a clear and colourless liquid.

What it does
Dipropylene Glycol is used both as a diluent to decrease the thickness of cosmetic products and fragrances, and as a solvent to dissolve other substances.
In perfumes, it is often used also for its ability carry and bind the fragrance molecules to the skin, so that they last longer.

Side effects
Dipropylene Glycol is generally considered to be safe.

Cool. I understand the short hand writing of the structure but I can’t name it. Propyl for three Carbons, di for two sets? I see glycol but I’m not sure how that fits with the structure haha. :] I’m guessing this is a type of alcohol…
