I’m sorry for the lack of posts this week. I’ve always prided myself on being a consistent blogger, but this week I missed the ball. Twice. Since moving to London, life has become a lot more hectic. In a good way.
I knew this would happen. But I always schedule posts well in advance, so I was confident you’d always have something to read every day. But this week, I ran out of them. Should have seen this coming.
Last weekend, I moved again. Now, I’m based in West London, which is so much more convenient for work and blogging events. But all those packing, unpackaging, carrying boxes from one end of the city to the other and arguing with the letting agency meant no time for blogging.
The Move From Hell
Before I go on, let me open a big parenthesis to warn you to stay away from Keenstate Letting Agency. They showed me and my friend a nice, large room in a pretty house that’s a stone’s throw away from the tube station. We loved it, and decided to take it almost straight away.
But when we checked in, they gave us another room instead! It’s in the same house, but it’s a hole! Well, it’d be nice for one person, but it’s way too small for two people, even if they were crazy in love. And if they were, they’d soon want to kill each other. That’s how small it is!
Unfortunately, we discovered the mistake on Saturday, and were due to move out of our previous place on Monday, so had to take it anyway. At least it’s £20 (a a week) cheaper than the other room, but still…
But that’s not what infuriated me. Mistakes happen, I get it. It’s unfortunate it happened to us, but c’est la vie. No, what drives me mad is the letting agent’s refusal to admit his mistake. He claims he showed us the right room all along.
That’s so not true. Two people would never agree to share that room. Besides, both me and my friend were able to describe the large pretty room, which he still claims he never showed us, in minute detail. Guess we Italians are psychic then…
Long story short, I’m moving again in two months. I love the house (apart from my room, which sucks), but I don’t want to give more money than I have to to those jerks. Making mistakes is ok. Blaming others for them and refusing to make amends isn’t.
So, if you’re coming to London or know someone who’s looking for a place here, tell them to stay well away from Keenstate. They don’t deserve your money.
An Exciting New Project
Now that I’ve warned you, let’s get back on track. There’s something else that’s keeping me busy lately. Problem is, I can’t tell you about it yet. It’s still early days, but I’ll share the news as soon as I can. I know you’ll be as excited as me. I’ll just say this: it involves Korean skincare. Stay tuned!
September has been a pretty eventful month so far. But I still could’ve published something every day. So why didn’t I? Because they’d have been short, filler posts that added little to no value.
I’m not willing to compromise quality for quantity. You don’t deserve that. That’s why, until I get back on track with my writing schedule, there won’t be any more posts here on Sundays.
As soon as I’ll be able to blog every day again,I will. In fact, I’d love to post multiple times a day, because there are so many amazing things and tips I’d love to share with you. But for now, I believe I could serve you better by writing a bit less. Thank you for your understanding.
Have an amazing week!
