What’s In Elemental Herbology Moisture Replenish Facial Souffle?
COCOA BUTTER TO MOISTURIZE SKIN
Cocoa butter is derived from cocoa beans. Duh!
It’s a multitasker that acts as an emollient to keep your skin soft and smooth and as an antioxidant to fight the free radicals that bring premature wrinkles.
There’s only one HUGE flaw with it: it doesn’t make this cream smell like chocolate. Boo!
GLYCERIN TO HYDRATE SKIN
Let’s start with the basics. Glycerin is in pretty much ALL skincare products for a reason.
It’s a wonderful humectant: that’s a fancy way of saying it draws moisture from the air and locks it into your skin. Once there, this extra moisture softens, plumps, and brightens your skin.
That’s the base you want to build the rest of your skincare routine on.

MACADAMIA TERNIFOLIA SEED OIL TO STRENGTHEN YOUR SKIN’S PROTECTIVE BARRIER
This moisturiser is loaded with oils. I’m covering Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil here because it’s the highest on the ingredient list. Translation: it does the bulk of the work.
This yellow golden oil comes from the Macadamia nut. It’s loaded with fatty acids, such as oleic acid, that deeply moisturise dry skin (but it may clog pores in oily skin).
Fatty acids strengthen your skin’s protective barrier to better withstand the attacks from harsh weather, pollutants, and anything else that tries to harm it. Plus, they deeply moisturise skin, too.

Very rich and takes a minutes or so to absorb.
Technically, it’s fragrance-free. But it has a couple of fragranced essential oils that give it a subtle floral scent (and could potentially irritate sensitive skin).
How To Use It
You can use it in three ways:
- Day moisturiser: Apply it in between serum and sunscreen.
- Night cream: It’s the last step of your skincare routine.
- Mask: Apply it as the last step of your routine at night and wash it off in the morning.
Performance & Personal Opinion
I use Elemental Herbology Moisture Replenish Facial Souffle’ as a night moisturizer. I find the rich texture a tad too rich for the morning and I’m not too keen on masks (if it takes an extra step, I’ll like won’t do it).
The cream takes a minute or so to absorb. Once it’s fully sunk in, there’s no greasiness left on the skin.
The cream smoothes out (temporarily) my fine lines, softens my skin and keeps my face moisturized all night long. Basically, everything that I expected from it.
Who Is This For?
Who Is This NOT For?
Oily and/or acne-prone skin.
A see-through jar. Not the prettiest or most hygienic, but it works for a rich texture like this.
