DIY Beauty Tip: How To Make Your Own Heated Eyelash Curler

trick to make your own eyelash curler

Hands up if you think eyelash curlers look live Medieval torture devices.

I’m with you. For years, I refused to use one for fear of what they may do to my eyes. I know, silly! They only thing they did when I gave them a go was to open up my eyes, making me look fresh and awake. Now I kicked myself in the butt and wish I had tried them sooner!

So when I started seeing heated eyelash curlers in the shops, I gave them a go straight away. They’re way more powerful and make the curl stick to the lashes for the whole day.

But what if you already have an eyelash curler and don’t feel like splurging on a fancier one? No worries. Here’s a quick trick to transform your regular eyelash curler into a heated eyelash curler:

How to make your own heated eyelash curler

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Your regular eyelash curler
  • Your blodryer

DIRECTIONS

Set your blowdried on LOW heat and blast air up at your eyelash curler for 5 seconds. The metals heats up really fast and if you heat it up for a couple seconds too long, it may burn your eyes! Ouch!

Want to make sure you didn’t make your eyelash curler too hot? Simply test it on your forearm or wrist first. If it doesn’t feel painful or uncomfortable, you can safely curl your lashes with it. Done.

I actually haven’t tried this one and perhaps I should to see if it will really help my stick straight lashes 🙂 Like you I always thought they were instruments of torture too hehe

Paris, they certainly look like torture devices eheh. But heated curlers usually work better than regular ones and give a more longlasting curl. Juts make sure it’s not too hot though. 🙂

I used to, but it ripped off my lashes so I stopped. Also, my lashes tend to be so brittle when I used it. Not a good move at all!

Dao, that’s awful, I’m sorry to hear that. This is a trick I use every now and then and it has always worked well for me but I guess everyone is different and, in any cause, it’s something to do with caution.

WOW scared to use something like that. I am already having goosebumps on my skin just imagining about it.

LatestGirls, lol. I was like that at first too. It sounds scary, but it isn’t really. The trick is just to find the right temperature so the curler is hot but not too hot that it’ll hurt your skin. 🙂
