This Korean Lip Tint Is Like A Bottle Of Fine Wine: Amazing, Till You Indulge In It Too Much

I’m not a wine drinker, but if I had to guess, I’d say that Chateaux Labiotte Wine Lip Tints are like a bottle of fine wine (fitting, since they’re shaped like one – so cute!): they are absolutely delicious in moderation but leave you worse for wear if you gulp the whole bottle in one go on your own.

Just look at that sheer pink. How pretty is it? It’s called Blush Pink and it’s one of those my-lips-but-better shades when you apply just one coat. Two, and its intensity kicks up a gear. So does the shine. It’s subtle but definitely there and gives a natural and healthy look to my pout.

Its texture is so thin, it’s practically weightless. Once on, it clings to my lips really tightly. Not in an uncomfortable way, mind you. No, what I mean is that it lasts for hours on my lips. Like 4 or 5.

It just goes away when I have lunch or dinner. I’m always blown away when a lip product lasts that long because, on me, almost all of the light lip shades I’ve tried do a disappearing act within 2 hours.

So, basically, this tint is pretty awesome. Just like a good bottle of wine. Problem is, abuse it and it’ll give you a hangover. Chateaux Labiotte claims these lip tints are hydrating, but that’s not true at all.

The first time I’ve worn Blush Pink, it didn’t feel moisturizing at all. But neither did it feel drying. So I used it the next day. And the day after that. That’s when my lips started to get really dry.

Luckily, there’s a quick fix. Lip balm. When I apply it before putting on the tint, my lips don’t get that dry. Still, this is one tint I prefer to use in moderation. I usually reserve it for those days when I’m out of the house for hours so that I can look polished without the need of retouching my lips every two seconds.

Oh, and did I mention the scent? It smells like grapes. Now, I wonder, does the lip tint grows finer with age too?

i have really really really dry lips, lip balm just puts a layer or grease on top of my dry lips, has done nothing to heal my lips.
Lip balm formulated especially for dry lips even drys my lips!

For me personally, the only thing that has ever worked on my lips is greasy heel balm!
I add lip stains to it to make my own colours of lip balm and keep them in a tiny jar. Now, I can’t recommend it for anyone else as it’s ingredients are NOT formulated for anything except cracked heels, and heels are a long way from lips (and stuff can go into mouth from lips… maybe thats bad, but I haven’t felt adverse effects yet)

But I’ve tried soo many lip balms, the pharmacy ones, medicated ones, and only this extreme method has worked for me, hands down with no compitition. ..that’s how dry my lips are.

Julina, sorry to hear about your problem. It must be so frustrating not being able to use any lip balms.

Heel balm is hardly the best but if you can’t use anything else… Have you tried olive oil or castor oil? They are very moisturizing and may be able to help.

ok thanks, I tried the castor oil as I have much supply of it. I found it did soften lips Yay! but a bit sticky to get used to so far. I think what I am addicted to my heel balm is it is quite plumping to the lips, and that’s a feature I don’t want to lose heheh I saw skinceuticals also has a lip repair with a type of urea in it, but it is so pricy. Any dupe for that one? 😀

Oh, yes, I can see how the plumping effect would be hard to give up! But have you checked the ingredients to make sure it doesn’t contain anything bad?

Mm, I haven’t found any dupe of that one yet, which is weird because lots of Skinceuticals products are widely duped. Have you tried Drunk Elephant Lippie? It’s a bit less expensive and very moisturizing too.

You might be allergic to an ingredient
