Can you believe that since I moved to London a year and a half ago, I’ve been out of town only once?
Mr BWB and I went to Norwich to spend Christmas with his family. We both fell in love with this charming town, its picturesque little streets and its friendly people.
We left wanting for more. More of the country and everything it has to offer. The only question is: where to go next?
I was thinking Windsor. For one, it has a castle. Two… wait do I really need another reason? Windsor has a castle, peeps! A real castle! Where Queens still live (ok, use every now and then, but you get the point).
You can even see the castle in the new Woods of Windsor packaging. And Bambi. Bambi’s on the box, too. Now, if that’s not enough to make you want to go to Windsor every time you take a shower, I don’t know what is.
I’m not sure that Windsor smells like Blue Orchard & Water Lily, though. But, I guess I won’t know until I go, right?
That’s definitely in my plans this year. For now, I’ll make do with showering with Woods of Windsor Moisturizing Bath & Shower Gel in Blue Orchid & Water Lily.
It has a fresh scent that opens with a fruity burst. That soon turns into an aquatic floral bouquet of water lily, vintage bluebell and vanilla orchid. The base’s as woody as it’s sweet. Think of cedar and mahogany laced with tonka beans.
I get out of the shower smelling amazing. And with soft skin, too. The formula’s so gentle (it uses sodium laureth sulfate to remove dirt without stripping the skin of oils), it doesn’t dry out the skin with daily use.
Yes, I know most shower gels do that for you, but my skin’s so dry, I was concerned about that.
The only thing… I do wish that pretty scent lasted longer. Cos, yeah, I get out of the shower smelling amazing, but after a few hours, that’s all gone.
I mean, I don’t stink. It’s just that the scent doesn’t linger around anymore. Oh well, I’ll just enjoy it while it lasts.
