I know you’re washing your makeup brushes regularly. RIGHT?
Maybe you even spot clean them after every use. Well done. I’m SO proud of you.
But, wait a moment. Did you know that your just-used-but-not-yet-cleaned foundation brush can still be very useful and help you achieve a flawless, natural look?
No kidding. Here’s how:
1. No More Clown Cheeks
Do you ever apply so much blush you end up resembling a crazy clown? Happens to me every time I wear a pigmented blush. One of the perks of having fair skin… ahem
The solution? Lightly stipple your just used foundation brush on top of your clown cheeks. The little bit of foundation that’s still left on the bristles will help tone down its intensity and give you the healthy, not crazy, look you were aiming for all along.
2. No More Groucho Marx Brows Either
Who doesn’t love thick, well-defined brows? But, achieving them can be tricky. Dab on a little more powder or gel than needed, and people will mistaken you for Groucho Marx. Oops!
What to do? Your used foundation brush comes to the rescue once again. Swipe it across your brows a few times and watch them lighten up. Phew!
3. Clean Up Your Eyes
Ok, I know it’s so weird. How can you clean up anything with something that’s dirty? Hear me out.
You know how messy, after you’ve applied eyeshadows, the area from the outer corner of your eye to the outer tip of your eyebrows can be? The edges are all rough and unblended, and, in some areas, there should be no colour at all.
You can keep blending everything with a blending brush, but, that’s a pain. A much better solution is to run your yet-to-clean foundation brush along that line. It cleans up the mess, defines the edges, and gives the eyes a little lift, too.
Ok, now you’ve fix your makeup mishaps, go clean that brush!
What make mishaps has your just-used-but-yet-uncleaned foundation brush saved you from?
