ready for some random ramblings? I hope so, because here they are anyway 😉
In the 17th century, gloves were often scented to mask their natural, unpleasant and strong leather smell. Now, l’Artisan Perfumeur is reviving this tradition with their LE Mûre et Musc Extrême scented gloves. “An updated version of the house’s signature eau de parfum, created in 1993, Mûre et Musc Extrême is a “gourmand” fusion of blackcurrant and blackberry, infused in silk-lined, black kid-leather gloves by house of Causse, handmade in the south of France.” And apparently, they can be rescented without staining the leather! Only 100 pairs will be released in October and they will retail at €320. Ouch, I know! But I still want them. They sound like such a decadent luxury, don’t they? (Source).
What I’m Reading Now
The Princess Bride by William Goldman. Well, actually this is the abridged version of S. Morgenstern’s Classic Tale of True Love and High Adventure. Goldman has taken out all the boring parts and left only the action. But I think there must be something wrong with me because I didn’t enjoy this classic tale very much. It is true that it has everything you can think of: true love, hate, fighting, giants, spiders, revenge, beautiful women, death, lies, miracles, flights and escapes and lots more, and it is quite funny at times, but still I couldn’t get into the story or care for the characters. I can’t really pinpoint why. It’s a nice story but I guess I just expected more, you know?

Beautiful Blogger Award
This week’s Sunday Survey is a bit different. I was tagged by my lovely friend Dao for the “Beautiful Blogger Award”, which features some really interesting questions about blogging. I hope you’ll enjoy reading my answers. And thanks a lot for nominating me, Dao, I’m honoured!
Tell us how the idea of making a blog popped up and what makes you continue it?
I’ve always loved makeup and beauty but none of my friends are interested in it and I just wanted a place where I could share my passions with like-minded people. I had been reading a few beauty blogs for a while and thought it’d be fun to have my own too. Blogging is very time-consuming and there are so many things you have to learn, such as CSS, photography, etc.. and there are times when you can feel like you need a break, but it’s the love and support of my readers that keeps me going. It has been a wonderful journey and I have made some great friends through the blog. I feel very blessed.
Describe a usual day in your life.
I wake up and have breakfast. Then I check my emails, Twitter and my favourite blogs. I write a couple of blog posts for the day and then it’s time to get some work done. In the evening, I blog some more and then read before going to bed. I have a flexible schedule at the moment, but this is pretty much what I usually do: blog, work, and read. And then at the weekend, I hang around with my friends and relax.
The best collaboration with a blogger.
Writing some guest posts for another blog. I’ve been learning a lot from it.
The worst collaboration with a blogger.
I have never really had any bad experience with a blogger before. Bloggers are lovely, really.
Describe what having a blog means to you.
It means a lot to me. It’s a place where I can make new friends and interact with people from all over the world who share my passions. Starting the blog was one of the best things I have ever done and I actually wish I had done it sooner!
I tag everyone who wants to do this! I’d love to hear your blogging stories!
