Name: 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Sabbath
Brand: Urban Decay
Size: 1.2g
Price: $20.00
From Urban Decay’s website:
Never before has a pencil this creamy and brilliant been waterproof, too. Velvety-soft, this never-before-seen formula stays soft and creamy for blending (about 30 seconds), then dries down to a long-lasting finish that WILL NOT budge.
What I liked:
– pigmented
– creamy, buttery soft texture, glides on smoothly without tugging
– longlasting, even on the waterline
What I didn’t like:
– needs sharpening
What’s your go-to eyeliner? I swear by Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils. They may start smudging just a tiny little bit after eight hours of wear (by then I’m long home so I don’t mind), but they are so easy to use.
And they come in 40 shades! How many brands release that many? Usually, we have to make due with basic hues like black, brown, navy, and a couple of colourful ones, but Urban Decay gives us plenty of choice. Whether you’re looking for an olive green shade, a bright electric sky blue, or a pearly pinkish purple, they’ve got you covered.
One of the shades that I use the most at the moment is Sabbath, a matte, deep navy blue. When I have plenty of time to do my makeup, I like to use Sabbath to create a winged eyeliner look. Then, I apply red lipstick, don an A-line dress, and put on my high heeled shoes. Hello, 50’s bombshell!
Sadly, that doesn’t happen often. These days, I have like 10 minutes to do my makeup in the morning. So, Sabbath becomes a nice alternative to black to add a pop of subtle colour to an otherwise boring natural eye look. It’s a fun touch that’s understated enough for daily wear.
And it’s so quick to apply. Sabbath is so pigmented that you only need one coat. And its texture! All UD pencils have a very soft texture. Sabbath even more so. It’s like melted butter. It glides soooo smoothly on the lids, and smudges easily for a smokey look.
But if you don’t touch it, it stays put. Even on the waterline. For about 4 hours. Not bad, really. Most eyeliners disappear after only five minutes on my waterline. This lasts longer, so I don’t have to reapply it as often. Love it.
If I really had to find it a flaw, I’d say it’s not automatic. This pencil needs sharpening, and any time you do so, you inevitably waste a bit of product. And when something costs $20.00, you don’t really want to waste any of it. Thank goodness this is so pigmented and longlasting. You need to use so little each time that’s it going to last you for ages anyway.
Available at: Beauty.com, Debenhams, and Sephora

Yay, so glad you like the formula, I’m a fan too!
Melissa, it’s amazing, isn’t it?
I still use UD eye pencils the most. I love the shade variety. And on me, they stay on quite well. The shade you’re wearing, Sabbath, is gorgeous. Love the deep, blue black
Allison, I love the variety too. So many colours to choose from! I wish all brands created so many shades.
Beautiful color! I love blue pencils! 🙂 x
Stavroula, me too. They are very pretty, and a nice alternative to black.
Isnt there more product in the pencil than on the tip?
Kristine, of course there is!
