Name: Melted Long Wearing Lipstick in Melted Fuchsia
Brand: Too Faced
From Too Faced’s website:
Get the staying power of a stain, the intense color of a liquid lipstick and the high shine of a gloss with Melted.
What I liked:
– very pigmented, a little goes a looooong away
– easy to apply thanks to the slanted applicator
– comfortable on the lips for about 3 hours
– very longlasting
What I didn’t like:
– after 3 hours, it starts feeling a little drying
– not transfer-proof
What makes you melt? Me, little kittens, a grown man playing with a baby, The Notebook… and Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Fuchsia. It isn’t just the colour. The Melted range ticks all the boxes of a 5 star lipstick, which makes the heart of this beauty addict melt with happiness.
A bright fuchsia with cool, blue undertones and a satin finish that turns matte after about 3 hours of wear, Melted Fuchsia truly packs a punch. Very pigmented, the tiniest amount is enough to provide an opaque coat of colour that blinds all those you meet. It’s that powerful.
And surprisingly easy to apply. Usually, with a lippie this pigmented, I prep my lips with lip liner and then grab a brush for a more precise application. None of that was necessary with Melted Fuchsia. The flocked, angled applicator allows for a flawless application on its own. The trick is not to press too hard to avoid too much product to flow out.
Melted Fuchsia feels lightweight, and quite comfortable on the lips. Only after about 3 hours, when it turns matte, its hydrating properties tend to fade, making my lips feel just a tad dry. Nothing a lip balm can’t fix, though. Oh, and did I mention it doesn’t settle into fine lines?
What truly won me over, though, was the staying power. A soft lipstick shade usually lasts only two hours on me, while a bright, rich one up to 3 and a half. Melted Fuchsia stayed put, never feathering outside my lip line, for 5 hours before it started to fade. It can stand a workout session, a glass of water and a little snack, but after a proper meal only a stain is left behind. Only then I reapply it.
The only downside? It isn’t transfer-proof and can leave stains on table cloths, clothes, and men if you’re not careful. But I can easily live with that.
Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Fuchsia is a bright hot pink with insane colour payoff, a texture that feels comfortable on the lips, and incredible staying power. It starts feeling a bit dry on the lips after 3 hours, but it’s nothing a lip balm can’t fix.
