Name: Viva La Juicy Noir
Brand: Juicy Couture
Size: 1.7 oz
What I liked:
– lovely fruity floral scent
– pretty packaging
What I didn’t like:
– the only noir thing about it is the black ribbon
– if you don’t like sweet scents, this is not for you
– doesn’t last long
Raspberry biscuits. Cotton candy lollipops. Fruity, sweet cocktails. All delicious things, but not even vaguely evocative of anything noir, dark, or mysterious.
That’s why, if like me you prefer your perfumes intriguingly sultry than sickly sweet, you’ll be disappointed by Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Noir.
Although more serious and mature than its older sister Viva La Juicy, Noir is the sweetheart of the family. Nice and lovely, it’s a great first scent for a teenager who wants to feel a bit grown up.
Viva La Juicy Noir opens with a strong and sweet mix of luscious berries and sparkling mandarin that soon intertwines with a delicate floral bouquet composed of jasmine, gardenia, and honeysuckle.
The next stage is mouthwatering. Vanilla mixes with caramel and amber to create a dessert-like accord that could very well make you hungry. Soon, it is joined by a rich sandalwood note, which adds a certain warmness to the scent.
Although delightful, Viva La Juicy Noir is also quite boring (we’ve all smelled it a hundred times before), and , worse, short living. It lasts about 5 hours on my skin, getting fainter and fainter until I can’t detect it anymore.
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Noir is a sweet and slightly mature fruity floral scent. However, it is unoriginal and doesn’t last long.
