Name: Nature’s Minerals Foundation Brush
Brand: The Body Shop
From The Body Shop’s website:
A high-density foundation brush, designed to ensure just the right amount of The Body Shop Nature’s Minerals Foundation SPF 25 is captured between the bristles, providing a smooth, even application.
What I liked:
– soft and dense bristles
– picks up a lot of product
– doesn’t shed nor bleed
What I didn’t like:
– brush case
The Body Shop Kabuki foundation brush is made from synthetic hair and has a domed shape. The bristles are dense, really soft and feel silky against my skin, not scratchy at all. The brush is perfect to apply mineral makeup: it picks up a lot of powder, gives good coverage and even fits the contours of my face.
I’ve been using the brush for a few months and wash it regularly: I didn’t experience any shedding or bleeding and, if you take proper care of it, this brush would last for years.
The brush comes with its own little plastic bag. While this makes it easier to travel with the brush, it can fall out of it quickly or get mangled if you put it in a bag.
Overall, the quality of this brush is excellent. The bristles are dense but very soft and pick up just the right amount of powder. It’s also great to apply makeup in those harder to reach places like the sides of my nose. In addition, the brush doesn’t shade nor bleed. The case it comes with isn’t very practical, though.
