Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters are a hybrid between a lipstick and a lip balm, and are available in 20 luscious shades. I have already reviewed Lollipop, a bright fuchsia shade, last year, and now I’ll show you Raspberry Pie, which was given me by my friend Janessa.
Raspberry Pie is a bright and glossy fuchsia-berry shade with incredible colour payoff that’s opaque in just one coat. The intense shade really packs a punch, which may be disappointing if you are looking for the “sheer to medium colour” promised by Revlon. To fan of bright shades like me, instead, this is a bonus. Just make sure you apply it with a lip brush for a more precise application. A lip brush will also help to sheer out the colour if you want to tone it down a bit.
The creamy texture glides smoothly on the lips, but doesn’t feel moisturizing at all to me, which is why I prefer to wear it above a layer of lip balm. Raspberry Pie lasts about 3 hours and a half on my lips, less if I eat or drink, in which case it fades unevenly. This unevenness, due to the brightness of the shade, is very obvious, so you may want to carry Raspberry Pie around with you for touch-ups.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie is a bright, glossy and intense fuchsia-berry shade that’s opaque in just one coat. Although not particularly moisturizing, its creamy texture glides smoothly on the lips and stays put for 3 hours and a half but fades sooner, and unevenly, if you eat.
