I first came across Quandoè products a few months ago when a new shop that sells makeup, personal care products and other stuff to clean the house opened in my town. I couldn’t find a lot of information on this brand online as they don’t seem to have a website. All I know is that it is made and distributed by Gottardo Spa and includes three lines: Solo Per Te (only for you) which is dedicated to makeup and personal care products, Per La Tua Casa (for your home), dedicated to products to clean the house and clothes and Per La Tua Cura (for your care), dedicated to products to medicate yourself like plasters and syringes.
All the products are extremely cheap and you know me, I can’t resist a bargain, so I decided to try one of their nail polishes. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to have a name nor a number, so we’ll just call it Barbie Pink as that’s exactly what it looks like once applied. I think the color is beautiful. I love pink shades, especially on my nails, and this one is very pretty and girly, just how I like it.
I found the formula lovely and very easy to work with. It has the right consistency, not too thin and not too thick, which spreads easily without streaking and doesn’t take long to dry. It has great color payoff so only one coat is necessary to achieve opaque coverage with a beautiful shiny finish.
I didn’t use a top coat as I wanted to see how long such a cheap polish could last on my nails without any help. Well, it lasted three days before it started to chip quite badly. Considering the price, it wasn’t that bad. I was expecting to see chips from the next day if I have to be honest and I’m glad that didn’t happen. Plus, I’m sure you could make it last a couple of days longer with the help of a good top coat.
Available at: Acqua & Sapone and Tigotà shops
Considering the cheap price, the quality of Quandoè nail polishes is pretty good. The formula is easy to work with, spreads easily without leaving those annoying streaks behind and is pigmented so one coat is all you need. It dries fast but I wish it lasted longer without a top coat and that the shades had names.
