From Michael Todd’s website:
Fosted eyeshadow: fantastic colors, great staying power and best of all, natural.

Powder blush: triple-pigmented to provide perfect application each and every time. We offer a wide range of 45 color options from the sheerest flush to the most natural skin tones for contouring.
What I liked:
– palette is huge, contains a big mirror and a blush
– eyeshadows have good color payoff
– eyeshadows are easy to blend, not chalky
– eyeshadows colors are perfect for natural looks wearable in any occasion
– blush is sheer with a matte finish that looks very natural
– the blush has a soft texture, easy to apply
– blush is longlasting
What I didn’t like:
– eyeshadows need a primer to last all day
– the texture of the matte eyeshadow isn’t that soft (but not chalky)
– the blush may be too sheer for those with dark skintones
– US price is expensive
As much as I like single eyeshadows and blushes, palettes are more convenient: they contain several colors so you don’t have to think too much about how to match them, are travel-friendly and, at home, make you save space. Their only downside is that sometimes we just don’t like all the shades they contain and so we skip them. Well, Michael Todd has come up with a solution and is offering 3 pan and 6 pan customizable palettes!
I have the 3 pan palette and the size is pretty big as they have to fit Michael Todd products, which are quite generous. They can be filled with eyeshadows, cake eyeliners, blushes and lip products and the price depends on the products you decide to customize it with. In addition, the pans are detachable so you can substitute the shades whenever and however you like. Not only that, but the palette comes with a huge mirror and a brush.
The palette was customized for me by the lovely Sue of love-makeup.co.uk, who sent me the product for review, with a Powder Blush in Audrey Hepburn, a Frosted Eyeshadow in Juicy Gossip and a Matte Eyeshadow in Chick. Since you can get the products separately (unless you want to customize the 3 pan palette like mine too), I’m just gonna briefly talk about each one of them.
Let’s start with the Frosted Eyeshadow in Juicy Gossip. It is a beautiful and medium-pigmented taupe color with shimmers that’s perfect for natural looks. It’s a great color for the lid, the shimmers aren’t over the top and it can be worn in any occasion. The texture is quite soft to the touch, isn’t powdery at all and is easy to blend. Staying power is ok. It lasts about 6 hours on me before creasing and fading but needs a primer underneath to stay put all day.
The Matte Eyeshadow in Chick is a matte off-white/pale cream with good color payoff. It would make a beautiful browbone color for those that prefer to wear matte eyeshadows in that area. The texture isn’t that soft to the touch to be honest, but I still like it as it isn’t chalky and is easy to blend. This too lasts about 6 hours on my slightly oily lids. If I wanna wear it for longer periods of time, a primer is necessary.
The Powder Blush in Audrey Hepburn is a matte pinkish beige shade that looks very natural when applied. It is sheer, which I like as I have pale skin and this blush is very easy to apply and impossible to overdo. I don’t think it will show up much on darker skintones though, but you can always opt for another shade as there are lots available. The texture of this blush is very soft to the touch, easy to blend and lasts about 12 hours on me.
Overall, both the eyeshadows and the blush are beautiful and wearable shades that are perfect for the office and daily wear. If you are into natural looks, then these products are definitely worth checking out as they will make you look pretty, elegant and polished. You just can’t go wrong with them.
Overall, I was pretty impressed with Michael Todd eyeshadows and blush. The eyeshadows may not have the softest texture, but they are still easy to apply, aren’t powdery and have good color payoff. However, they need a primer to last all day. The blush lasts a lot longer, has a very soft texture and sheer color payoff so it looks very natural on. It may not show up well on darker skintones though. They are all safe and elegant shades apt for any occasion.
