– natural finish
– the price
What I didn’t like:
– not very long-lasting
– bulky packaging
The Maybelline Dream Mousse range intrigued me since it came out. Recently, I’ve finally decided to satisfy my curiosity and purchased the Blush. It’s available in 3 shades: mauve, soft plum and, the one I have, peach satin. It’s a really nice shade of pink.
Its mousse-like texture is light, soft, silky and shimmery. The blush doesn’t feel heavy on my skin and gives me a natural glowy finish. Blending is very easy. The blush is quite sheer. If you have pale skin, a little goes a long way, but darker damsels will have to build it up considerably for it to show up properly.
However, the staying power is not very impressive. It fades pretty quickly, especially if you have very oily skin, so you need to retouch it every few hours. However, it last a bit better if you apply a powder blush or some translucent powder on top of it.
I don’t really like the packaging much. It’s heavy and bulky. The glass pot is quite thick and clunky to carry in you bag.
Overall, I like Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Peach Satin. It is very easy to apply and blend, gives you a natural look and it is very cheap. However, the staying power isn’t very good and you will need to retouch it frequently.
