Name: Correttore Anticernes in Stick
From Layla’s website:
A stick anticernes, creamy and perfectly covering.
What I liked:
– good selection of shades available
– medium coverage
– natural finish
– hides dark circles and blemishes
– doesn’t settle in fine lines
– then packaging
– the price
What I didn’t like:
– dry texture, not very moisturizing
– can be hard to blend
I’m usually not a big fan of stick concealers. I’ve got nothing against them, it’s just a matter of personal preference: I just like liquid or cream ones more. But when Layla sent me two of their 7 shades of their Correttore Anticernes in Stick (Stick Anticernes Concealer), I was happy to discover that N.5, an almost white shade perfect for pale-skinned beauty, is light enough for my skintone. Usually I can only find a good match in high-end concealers so it’s good to come across a cheaper option that works without breaking the bank.
The other shade I was sent is N.6, which is a pale salmon. It is too dark for my skintone, but the color is particularly apt for those with an olive skintone or that have really bad circles with blueish undertones. Among the other shades available, there is also a green one that is very useful to cover any red tones you may have in your skin.
The concealer is packaged in a bulky but elegant (the pictures don’t do it justice), pearly tube. It looks more like a lipstick than a concealer and I’m glad that I keep my face and lip products stored separately or I could get confused! lol. Th first thing I noticed about the concealer is the scent. It’s powdery and to some it may seem old and unpleasant (it reminds me of the scent Max Factor face products have), but I like it.
What I’m not so keen on, instead, is the texture. It is quite dry and not very creamy and moisturizing. I’d suggest applying it with your fingers which will warm the product up, making application easier and smoother than it would otherwise be. It doesn’t cake nor settle into fine lines but because of the texture, I don’t think it will suit mature skin.
Once applied, it performs quite well. It provides medium coverage with a natural finish that does a good job at hiding small blemishes and dark circles. It didn’t completely cover mine, but then my dark circles are really, really bad (I only used N.5 on me, mind you), but it helped quite a lot, greatly reducing their appearance. For most people, this concealer alone though will certainly be enough to cover their dark circles, making their skin look naturally beautiful and fresh.

Layla Correttore Anticernes in Stick has a dry texture that doesn’t spread too easily unless you use your fingers to warm it up. In that case, application is smoother. It has medium coverage and a natural finish that works well at covering small blemishes and dark circles. And it’s not too expensive.
