Name: Iceberg White
What I liked:
– sweet fruity floral scent with a woody base
– good sillage
– the bottle
What I didn’t like:
– predictable and unoriginal
– short staying power
Last year, Iceberg, the Italian luxury sportswear brand, launched the feminine version of their men’s Burning Ice fragrance: Iceberg White. Designed for confident women who make an impression every time they enter a room, Iceberg White is inspired by the purity, strength and shine of icebergs, and plays on contrasts such as fire and ice.
So, imagine my disappointment when Iceberg White turned out to be just another sweet fruity floral scent with a woody base. Yawn. Did we really need another one? Nope, but we got it anyway. So, what does it smell like?
The scent opens with a fresh burst of citrus and grapefruit sugar-coated with a dollop of juicy pear. Soon, this accord, but not its sweetness, is replaced by a floral heart of peony and violet. Their fragrant aroma is, however, relegated to the background. It’s the sweet raspberry nectar that shines at this stage.
Finally, the sweetness diminishes in the drydown, as vetiver and musk make their appearance. It gives the perfume a more sensual vibe, but fails to make it interesting. It’s too predictable to do that. Iceberg White smells lovely, but lacks originality. It’s a scent you’ve been smelling for the past 10 years. It’s nothing new.
There’s worse. Fragrance is, after all, subjective and not everyone may be interesting in an original creation. But everyone will want their fragrance to last more than 4 hours on the skin. And this one doesn’t. The sillage, though, is ok. Iceberg White doesn’t stay too close to the skin, but won’t bother those around you either. It’s quite inoffensive.

Iceberg White Fragrance is a sweet fruity floral scent with a woody base. Although it smells lovely, it is predictable and unoriginal, and doesn’t even last that long on the skin.
