Name: Gloss Appeal
From Clarins’s website:
Gloss Appeal delivers transparent colour and radiant, ultra-shine to smooth, fuller lips thanks to silver and gold light-refracting pigments.
What I liked:
– gorgeous sheer shimmery shade
– very shiny
– not sticky
– the taste
What I didn’t like:
– not long-lasting
– doesn’t make lips fuller
– the fragrance
– the applicator
Clarins Gloss Appeal is available in 10 shades. I have n.7, Grape. I got this in a swap months ago, it was one of the extras the girl I swapped with included in the packaging, and it had been laying at the bottom of my makeup bag for ages because the color looked very dark and I thought it wouldn’t suit me. However, a few days ago I decided to try it and I have to say the color looks very different once applied. It’s a gorgeous sheer pinkish transparent shade that flatters all skintones. It is very shiny and has gold and silver glimmer specks that give your lips a nice shimmer. However, it didn’t make my look much fuller.
The lipgloss isn’t sticky and goes on smooth. I’m not keen on the applicator though as I find it hard to apply the lipgloss with it esp in the corners of the mouth. The gloss tastes really good and has a nice cherry fragrance. If you smell it from the bottle it is quite strong but I can’t smell it at all once it is on my lips.
The worst thing of this gloss is the staying power. It doesn’t even last an hour and therefore it has to be reapplied very frequently during the day.
Overall, this lipgloss is average. It is very shiny, shimmery and not sticky and the sheer shade is beautiful. However, it doens’t make lip fuller and it isn’t long-lasting.
