“Have you seen Alice?”, her mother asked her elder daughter, “I can’t find her anywhere”. “Last time I saw her, she was chasing an odd white rabbit near the riverbank”. “Oh, that girl! Always chasing after something! Where could she possibly have ended up this time?”, her mother sighed.
“Where have I ended up this time?,” Alice wondered, as she picked herself up off the ground, where she had fallen after jumping into a big rabbit hole. She turned around, letting her eyes gaze at her surroundings. She was in a forest, full of old, but luxuriant trees, whose branches intertwined near their tops, barely allowing sunlight to stream in, and giving the place an eerie, mysterious atmosphere.
Catrice Intensif’Eye Wet & Dry Shadow in Have You Seen Alice? is a baked eyeshadow that features soft and deep, dark forest green shades with a frosty metallic finish. Perfect to create sultry green smokey eyes, this eyeshadow can be used both dry and wet. Personally, I prefer the second option, as a touch of water really makes this shade stand out, improving its pigmentation and reducing fallout.
When used dry, instead, the pigmentation is buildable. Although the brush picks up the right amount of product, it doesn’t translate it well on the lid. That means, that you’ll have to apply two or three layers to achieve the desired intensity. In addition, when used dry, the creamy texture is quite powdery and as a result, some fallout can occur. Either way, it blends easily, though.
Have You Seen Alice held up quite well on my slightly oily lids, lasting for 6 full hours before finding its way into the creases of my eyes. If you need it to stay put for longer, you’ll have to apply a primer underneath. The packaging is so-so too. The round clear pot is quite pretty, but not very sturdy. The lid of mine has broken off, making it difficult for me to store it so that it won’t accidentally open.
