Burberry Brit For Men is a simple but unusual scent. It’s aromatic and spicy, but also powdery and cozy, qualities that you don’t usually associate with men’s fragrances. And yet, here they work, providing an interesting take on what would otherwise be another boring men’s cologne. But don’t worry, guys. Although some women may be adventurous enough to wear it too, Burberry Brit always remains in the masculine end of the spectrum.
Burberry Brit For Men opens with a citrusy burst of green mandarin and bergamot spiced up by ginger and cardamom. At this stage, the scent is very green, clean and sporty. It’s a nice opening for a scent, but also quite a bland one. It’s in the heart, though, that the fragrance truly becomes interesting. Wild rose appears on the scene, providing that powdery vibe I mentioned before.
However, this note is laced in a masculine embrace of cedarwood and freshly grated nutmeg. They prevent the scent from ever becoming too feminine and old-fashioned. Instead, the powderiness, like a cashmere sweater, adds elegance and a touch of coziness. Finally, the drydown is a warm and sensual blend of vanilla, musks and tonka bean.
Suitable for men of any age, Burberry Brit For Men is the perfect casual scent for cold winter months, although you could just as easily wear it to the office. It’s not so overpowering to bother your colleagues, but it doesn’t even stay too close to the skin. However, its staying power could be improved. I only get 7 hours of wear, and then, I need to spritz it on again.
Burberry Brit For Men Fragrance is a refreshing take on a men’s cologne. Spicy and powdery, elegant and cozy, this scent can be worn by men of any age for both casual and business occasions. Sillage is good, but staying power could be improved.
