Name: Eyecolor in Exotic Tara
From BareMinerals’ website:
Surrender to the rush, the high, the incredible creamy feeling of bareMinerals Eyecolors. Velvety smooth and unbelievably blendable, these vibrant, stay-true colors won’t smudge or run
What I liked:
– provides a subtle wash of colour on the lids
– shimmers are finely milled and make your eyes sparkle
– velvety texture, easy to blend
– good staying power if used with a primer
What I didn’t like:
– darker divas may need to layer it or use it wet
– like all loose eyeshadows, it can be a bit messy
Do you love teal eyeshadows, but are scared of wearing bright colours? Then, if you don’t mind the messiness of loose eyeshadows, give Bare Minerals Eyecolor in Exotic Tara a try. In its small jar (which comes with a sifter that keeps the messy factor to a minimum, but doesn’t eliminate it completely), it looks like a dark and bright teal, but on the lids turns into a soft turquoise that leans more towards green than blue and is chockfull of shimmers that make your eyes sparkle naturally.
Of course, if you use it wet, it can become very intense. But used dry, this stuff is impossible to overdo. It will simply provide a subtle wash of colour on the lids that you could easily wear during the day, maybe for an afternoon of shopping with your friends. The shimmers too never become over the top. This shades simply enhances your eyes without screaming for attention. Darker divas may need to layer it for it to show up properly, though.
Exotic Tara has a creamy and velvety texture that’s a dream to blend. With the help of a primer, it easily lasts up 10 hours. I wouldn’t try using it without a base though, even if you have dry lids. Loose eyeshadows like this should always be applied over a sticky base that will make them better adhere to the lid and reduce fallout.

BareMinerals Eyecolor in Exotic Tara provides a soft wash of light and shimmering teal on the lids that, with the help of a primer lasts for hours. Its velvety texture is easy to blend. However, darker divas may have to layer it and, as all loose eyeshadows, Exotic Tara is a bit messy to use.
