When my pale skin was combination, I used to joke it would glow in the dark. Now, it’s become dry, I have the opposite problem: it doesn’t glow. At all. Not even a teeny tiny bit. No, now it’s as dull as the London winter sky.
As I was wondering how the heck to revitilize it, MustaeV Lustrous Cream Base landed on my desk. Needless to say, I had to put it to the test straight away.
At first glance, MustaeV Lustrous Cream Base looks utterly and completely white. But, if you look carefully, and just under the light, you notice subtle pearl particles. When the light hits them, they reflect it, making skin look like it’s glowing from within. It’s that natural.
All this light-reflecting business also serves another purpose: it makes fine lines and wrinkles look smaller. The light sort of hides them, so they aren’t as noticeable as before. My pores and blemishes look smaller, too. The light, together with the non-suffocating silicones in the formula, blur out imperfections, making my skintone look that little bit more even. A good foundation does the rest.
Talking about foundation, you can use MustaeV Lustrous Cream Base under it (my fave way to use it), or mixed with it. Either way, it beautifully illuminates my face, and gives it a fresher appearance. That’s why I use it mainly on special occasions or days when I didn’t get a good night,s sleep. It helps me look more awake and rested.
The texture is creamy, but lightweight. You don’t feel like you have an extra layer of makeup on. It also blends beautifully. I used it both with By Terry Light Expert Click Brush Foundation and MeMeMe Angel Face BB Cream, and it went on smoothly. There was none of that dreaded cakey effect. I would recommend you wait a few minutes, until the primer has fully settled, before you apply the foundation, though. Just in case.
A little goes a long way, too. I find one pump is more than enough for my entire face, so the bottle is gonna last me for a long time. That’s good, because, who wants to buy something that runs out within a couple of weeks?
THE BOTTOM LINE
Pros: Can be used before, or mixed with, foundation to give skin a radiant glow; Helps blur out imperfections; Creamy and lightweight texture blends smoothly; Longlasting.
Cons: If you have oily skin, it may be a bit too shiny for you.
Summary: Creamy and longlasting, MustaeV Lustrous Cream Base gives skin a lovely glow, and helps minimize imperfections, too.
