There’s no doubt Ghost Girlcrush is for teens. Just take a look at the curvy bottle. From the hot pink colour of the cap to the myriad of doodles reminiscent of those we used to draw next to our crush’s name in our high school diary, everything screams teenager.
The clear juice inside speaks to them, too. When you first spray it on, your nose is overwhelmed by the sweetness of a fruity cocktail made up of delicious pomegranate, juicy peach, and fizzy raspberries.
The sweetness persists in the heart of the fragrance, where fruits give way to flowers. It’s a blooming bouquet of velvety roses, delicate pink peony, and fresh almond flowers that lasts, almost without changing, for a few good hours.
But, my fave part of the scent is the drydown. The warmth of vanilla, cedar, and musk combine to create a sensual and soft blend that captivates. I know it’s been done a thousand times before, but, what can I say… I like it every time.
And Girlcrush? It’s way too sweet and predictable for me now in my early ’30s. But, in my teens, I would have totally crushed over GirlCrush. I was a complete sucker for sweet scents and pink packaging back then (actually I’m still a sucker for pink packaging – that hasn’t changed… yet!).
Playful and feminine, it’d make a great spring scent for the teen in your life. Or for yourself, if you’re still a teen. Or even if you aren’t, if you still like this kind of scent. Because, why not?
