Eyelash curlers can look like torture devices to those that never used them (I for one started using them only a few years ago cos they used to scare me lol), but they can really open up your eyes, making you look awake and fresh. These days in the shops, next to your regular curlers, you can also find heated eyelash curlers which are more effective and will ensure that the curl will stay put all day.
But if you already have a good eyelash curler and don’t want to invest in another or just wanna see how a heated one performs before purchasing, here’s a quick tip on how you can make your own heated eyelash curler at home. It’s really easy, it takes only a few seconds and all you need is a regular eyelash curler and a blow dryer.
How to make your own heated eyelash curler
Did you get everything you need? Yes? Good. Now set the blow dryer on low heat and blast air at your eyelash curler for 5 seconds only. Metals heat up really fast and if it is too hot it may burn your eye! Ouch! To make sure the curler’s not too hot, test it on your forearm or wrist first and then proceed to curl your lashes. And voilà, you’ll have perfectly curled lashes for the whole day!
Now, while this is a great fix for a special occasion, it may be a bit of a hassle to do it every morning, especially if you don’t have much time to get ready. In the cold winter months, you can avoid using a blow dryer and simply place your eyelash curler on top of a warm radiator for a few seconds. But if you love the effect and want to use a heated eyelash curler daily, then you should definitely buy one.
Do you use heated eyelash curlers? And have you ever made your own?
