Summer may officially be over but that’s not a good reason to start neglecting your feet now. They carry us around all day long and when we finally get back home after a tiring day, they deserve a little pampering. Here are two homemade heel balm recipes to keep them moisturized, soft and beautiful:
1. Pumpkin and Vaseline Heel Balm
– 1/2 vaseline
– 1/2 pumpkin
This recipe is very simple: just mix the ingredients together and apply the mixture on your feet. They’ll become soft and moisturized.
2. Beeswax and Oils Heel Balm
– 2oz of beeswax (preferably pellets)
– 2oz of shea butter
– 2oz of coconut oil
– 2 oz of jojoba oil
– a few drops of an essential oil of your choice (optional)
Put the beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil and jojoba oil in a pan and place it over low heat to melt them. When everything is melted, remove it from the heat and add the essential oil of your choice while mixing. Let it cool down and then put the mixture in a container (it should last you a few months). Whenever you need it, apply the mixture to your feet, possibly at night before putting your socks on for a more moisturizing effect.
