It’s that time of the year again.
The time when I reminisce about the best beauty products I’ve found this year and tell you all about them. Ok, I’ve already told you all about them, but now you’re getting all the essential info in one post.
This year, though, things are a bit different. This is the year I shifted the main focus of BWB to skincare, so I’ll feature only skincare products here too.
Are you ready? Let’s get started:
1. ZO Skin Health Offects Sulfur Masque ($34.00)
This is my secret weapon against pimples. I wouldn’t put it all over my face because too much sulfur can be irritating. But, a little dab on the odd pimple helps to get rid of it in less than two days. It’s a miracle worker, I tell you. Available at Omniya.
2. Foreo Luna Play ($29.00)
This little thing is the perfect introduction to sonic cleansers. It gets rid of dirt, makeup and dead skin cells, leaving skin cleaner, softer and brighter. It’s made of silicone so it’s gentler and more hygienic than a brush. And it’s so tiny, you can take it anywhere with you. Available at Cult Beauty.
3. Beuti Skincare Beauty Sleep Elixir (£42.00)
Have you heard about inflammaging? It’s the chronic inflammation that’s destroying your skin, making it look older than it is. And it occurs in the deepest layers of the skin, so you never see it. This elixir is chockfull of natural soothing oils that can calm it down and prevent premature aging. Plus, the texture feels so luxurious! Available at Look Fantastic.
4. The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2% ($8.00)
Best. Retinol. Serum. Ever. At least, the best I’ve tried so far. It’s super gentle so I can use it daily. It’s dirty cheap, so I won’t go broke by using it that often. And, it helps bust wrinkles and acne. What’s not to love? Available at Victoria Health
5. Bakel Jaluronic (£100.00)
I was a bit hesitant to add it here. It costs an arm and a leg, but it contains only two ingredients: water and sodium hyaluronate. I know not everyone will like that. But I LOVE this serum. It’s super hydrating and totally saved my dry skin last winter. And with only two ingredients, it won’t irritate skin. Available at SpaceNK.
6. Hylamide Glow Radiance Booster ($20.00)
Fancy a sunkissed natural tan without the orangey streaks? This one will do it. For real. Instead of DHA (the stuff that makes you look like an orange), it has erythrulose, a sugar that reacts with the amino acids in your skin, turning it a golden brownish hue. It lasts a bit less than the tan you get from DHA, but at least you won’t look like an Oompha Loompha. Available at Look Fantastic.
