The right tools are essential for a flawless makeup application, and this fall we have plenty of new options to choose from. Here are my favourites:
Sephora Collection Pro Visionary Bullet Crease Brush ($20.00)
A short, tapered blending brush with soft, natural bristles that allows for application of a deeper shadow colour into the crease to add depth and create the illusion of larger eye. Available at sephora.
Wayne Goss Brush 6 Blending (£20.00)
Lovely youtube guru and makeup artist Wayne Goss has created a range of brushes. The pre-order launch sold out pretty fast, so we’ll have to wait a while for them to be back in stock. When that happens, I plan to try this lightly rounded brush that promises to “take you from subtle wash of colour to smokey with ease”. Available at love-makeup.co.uk.
Make Up For Ever 408 Small Paint Brush ($39.00)
MUFE has recently released a new range of more than 70 brushes! This is the one that intrigues me the most, mainly because I had never seen a makeup brush like this before. Inspired by a traditional paint brush, it applies liquid and cream (except latex) foundations on small areas of the face and body, providing medium to high coverage and an intense colour payoff. A bigger version to apply foundation only on the body is also available. Available at sephora.
Ulta Professional Kabuki Brush ($10.00)
Is it bad that I want this kabuki brush only because it is pink? It is said to be ideal for a flawless application of powder based makeup. Available at ulta.
Becca The One Perfecting Brush ($49.00)
Described as a “bouquet of brushes in one perfecting brush”, it replaces your foundation brush, powder brush, highlighter brush, contour brush, precision brush, and sponge! The goat bristles are packed in a two-inch horizontal design that allows you to cover larger surface areas for a natural foundation or powder application or target specific areas of the face with highlighters for an airbrushed effect. Available at sephora.
Have you tried any of these brushes or are you planning to?
